William Burckart

Co-founder and President of The Investment Integration (TIIP), an applied research and consulting services firm founded in 2015 that helps investors manage systemic societal and environmental risks and solve systemic problems. Burckart supports investors as they align their strategies and practices with the increasingly complex world of the 21st century.

Burckart has also contributed to the field through groundbreaking research, including leading a multiyear, ongoing field building effort focused on the US financial services industry in collaboration with the Money Management Institute; co-editing the New Frontiers of Philanthropy: A Guide to the New Tools and Actors that Are Reshaping Global Philanthropy and Social Investing (Oxford University Press: 2014), and coediting the Status of the Social Impact investing Market: A Primer (UK Cabinet Office: 2013) that was distributed to policymakers at the inaugural G8-level forum on impact investing.

Burckart has presented at leading industry events, including: the Morningstar Sustainable Investment Forum, CFA Institute, PRI in Person, the GIIN Investor Forum, Clinton Global Initiative, Investments and Wealth Institute, Financial Advisor & Private Wealth, the US Federal Reserve, the Impact Investment Exchange (IIX), Net Impact, the Money Management Institute (MMI), and Southeastern Council of Foundations to name a few; in addition, he has testified before the Illinois Task Force on Social Innovation, Enterprise, and Entrepreneurship and lectured on sustainable investing at Columbia University, Georgetown University and New York University. Burckart has held a number of posts around the world, most notably for members of the United Kingdom Parliament in London and for a business journal in Shanghai, China. He holds a Master of Public Policy from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of International Affairs from George Washington University. Mr. Burckart is a visiting scholar of the US Federal Reserve and is a founder or co-founder of two impact investment advisory firms (Burckart Consulting and Impact Economy LLC).
