This accomplished athlete and businesswoman has achieved enormous success in her personal and professional life, thanks to clear objectives and extraordinary persistence, despite the sometimes difficult trials she has had to overcome in her life: her grandfather's death and her fiancée's suicide, just before the Barcelona Olympics.

 In 1986, she won gold at the Commonwealth Games. She achieved seven perfect scores of 10 at the World Aquatic Championships in Australia. From 1988 to 1992, she came first wherever she competed solo internationally. Five years later, she achieved a new world record and became world champion. Sylvie Fréchette has received many awards and honours.

She studied physical education at Université de Montréal. In 1993, she published her autobiography, Sylvie Fréchette : sans fausse note, translated into English as Gold at Last. In addition to many other projects, she has been a spokesperson for the National Bank. She also worked with Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas, putting on a show called "O" that called on her talents as artist, choreographer, and trainer. Today, drawing on her personal and professional experience, she seeks to motivate the people she meets to face life's challenges and never give up till they reach their goals.
