The View from Washington
David Broder deals with three topics, reflecting the range of his reporting experience. He analyzes the Washington scene – the President, Congress and the relations between them and the issues that are on the agenda. He describes – and occasionally forecasts – the political scene, the maneuverings of presidential hopefuls, and the emerging stars of the two parties and the power alignments in the state capitals. He also reflects on the workings and failings of the press, which he has written about and been part of for more than 40 years.
