Below are a few highlights from recent events.
We had a terrific convention with Dusty Baker as our featured speaker at the Hyatt Grand Champions Resort in Indian Wells, CA in November 2006. Dusty joined us at our opening reception and was able to meet our members and get to know the lumber dealers better. He kicked off our trade show after speaking at lunch, and was very accommodating with autographs and photos. His great stories and wisdom kept everyone talking about him long after his presentation was over.
Roger Crawford gave a memorable and uplifting presentation to LACN’s 2nd Growth Members at their Annual Summer Conference at the LaQuinta Resort & Spa in LaQuinta, CA in July 2007. His message on the challenges he has overcome in life due to his physical disabilities is an inspiration to everyone.
Entertainer Wayland Pickard was the highlight of the President’s Dinner at the Lumber Association of California & Nevada’s 11th Annual Convention’s at the Portola Plaza Hotel in Monterey in 2007. His engaging style of piano playing, songs and impressions were enjoyable and entertaining for all attendees.
